January 7 will see The Nightwatchman hold a quiz in aid of Chance to Shine.
While many people celebrate a famous epiphany on January 6, the participants at The Nightwatchman’s inaugural quiz night will be hoping that their own moment of sudden realisation arrives a day later.
22 teams in total will join quiz master Marcus Berkmann at The Old Queens Head in Islington to raise some cash for charity and show off the fruits of many an hour spent in trivial pursuits.
With a number of our big-brained and well-read contributors set to front up foursomes, we’re expecting some healthy totals and a few referrals once the players have ‘taken drinks’.
We will of course be reminding our teams that they can sledge all they like as long as they empty their wallets in aid of Chance to Shine – our friends, neighbours and charity partner. Chance to Shine, as you may already know, is a fantastic initiative run by the Cricket Foundation and has already delivered cricket and cricket-based learning to more than two million school children.
